How to Choose Ballet Shoes for Beginners
Start with your teacher’s requirements. Confirm the sole type, upper material and color before comparing styles.
Compare the Actual Shoe Construction
| Dynadans style | Upper | Sole |
|---|---|---|
| Kids’ PU Ballet Dance Shoes | Synthetic PU | Full suede leather sole |
| Leather Split-Sole Ballet Shoes | Genuine leather | Separate leather forefoot and heel pads |
| Stretch Canvas Split-Sole Ballet Shoes | Stretch canvas | Separate leather forefoot and heel pads |
Choose a style that meets your class requirements. A split-sole shoe should not replace a required full-sole style.
Use the Chart for Your Selected Model
Measure both feet while standing, from heel to longest toe. Compare the longer measurement with the selected product’s chart. Do not transfer size numbers between styles.
The stretch canvas model’s Big Kid/Women chart covers foot lengths of 20.5–25.5 cm. Check the chart rather than choosing by age or usual shoe size.
For measurements between entries or questions about width, contact info@dynadans.com with the product name and measurements.
Check the Fit Indoors
Wear your class tights or socks. Toes should lie flat, the heel should stay secure, and straps should not dig in. Ask your teacher to check the fit if you are unsure.
Follow Model-Specific Care
Wipe PU or leather uppers gently with a slightly damp cloth. For the featured stretch canvas style, spot clean with cool water and mild soap; avoid soaking the leather pads. Do not machine wash or tumble dry this model.
Air shoes out after class and dry away from heat.
